1 year Celebration and Testimony with Josh Cross

My name is Josh Cross and I am a child of God.

Let me take you back a few years before my journey with Christ. I was living a life of addiction for about 20 years, along with that life I was living everything that came with that i.e. life, money, women, manipulation, lying, stealing, etc. I also spent 10 years of my life in the Indiana Department of Corrections for drug possessions and many other various crimes. I was a menace to society. It was not until my eyes were opened on September 28, 2018, when I had overdosed in my boss’s driveway, got rushed to the hospital and then revived. That Sunday my boss invited me to church and that is where I met the one who changed my life forever, Jesus. I also met a few members of the Indiana Dream Center. It was a place that chains are broken, and freedom is found in Jesus Christ. I thought, here is my shot at a new life, a new way and the truth.

I was greeted with open arms and brought into a men’s home where others shared the same common goal, being free of life controlling issues through the strength of the Holy Spirit. I spent a year in this house studying the word and transforming myself into the man God always intended for me to be. It has been a little over a year since I graduated, and let me tell you, God is on the move.

I now am married with a beautiful family. I own my own home. I am very much involved with the Awakening Church. I am going back into the men’s home and doing devotions with the men in the home. I get to go out on outreach missions throughout our town. I am a lender - not a borrower. I would not be where I am today if it wasn't for the redemption power of Jesus Christ, and help from the Indiana Dream Center.
