Better Together

The Indiana Dream Center in partnership with Backpack of Hope made a donation of fully supplied backpacks to the Huntington City Police and Sheriff’s Department on Friday, February 18th. Officers carry these backpacks in their cars to give to community members in need. Backpacks are filled with blankets, gloves, hats, hand warmers, flashlights, full size hygiene items, snacks, protein foods, easy open pop tops foods and water.

Shelley Septer started this nonprofit in memory of her son, John Zachery Septer. Memorials from her father helped fund this project and she was thrilled to have her mom by her side to fill these backpacks.

It was an honor to be able to partner with Shelley on this donation to our community.
